Frequently asked questions:

CAN we bring our own alcohol?

Outside Beverages are Prohibited. We hold a Kansas liquor license, constructed three fully stocked bars and trained a number of bartenders. Whether it is a private event, wedding, or public live music event we ask that you respect our policy and leave any outside beverages in your vehicle. We are subject to large fines and face the risk of loosing our license, if outside alcohol is brought onto the property. We enforce this provision vigorously.

live music events

  • Are live music events open to the public? Yes. Please refer to our Event Calendar page for the schedule of Bands, dates and start times. Currently all live music events are “general admission”.

  • Is there a cover charge? Kane Family Farm has hosted hundreds of “free admission” public live music events since it’s first concert in 2018. We endeavor to keep your entertainment costs down while still providing access to the best musical talent in the region. Currently, there is a $5/person charge for the Saturday evening live music events only - all others are “free admission”. This will change as we expand music venues, genres and Band draws.

  • Do you provide seating? Yes. Depending on the Stage, we have a wide variety of seating available. We also have a lawn chair section at the Pool Stage and you are welcome to bring your own chair.

  • What happens if it rains? Kane Family Farm currently has two (2) indoor stages - Hay Barn and Long Barn Stages and (1) outdoor stage - the Pool Stage. If we anticipate inclement weather at the Pool Stage, we always move the Band(s) to one of the indoor stages. The contact says “rain or shine”. We also we now host live music year round.

  • Is it kid friendly? While everyone is welcome at the Farm, the public live music events definitely have an adult vibe - we serve alcohol, it’s adult only swim after 6pm and the music continues until late evening. We do however host over 100 private parties a year - and these tend to be family themed events including graduations, birthdays, pool parties, weddings and the like.

  • Can I bring my dog? We ascribe to a “no pet” policy. We allow service dogs and have in the past made rare exceptions for dogs. However, the stage area is fenced, with an in-ground pool and often filled with guests that come for the live music - it’s simply not a pet environment. We even put up Nita, our Farm dog, during events.

  • What about my favorite band? We always appreciate when our Guests share their love for music with us by suggesting Bands. Besides, we are always actively looking for local musicians to showcase their talent at the Farm. Please share our contact information with your favorite Band(s) and we will be certain to follow up directly with them.

do you have parking?

Yes. We have plenty of parking in our lot and acres of available spaces in designated overflow areas. We provide parking attendants to direct you to a parking space whenever we anticipate the number of visitors will exceed the parking lot limit.

CAN WE BRING OUTSIDE FOOD?

Depends. We currently provide all food service for contracted private events and are in the process of adding food menu’s for the public live music events. Stay tuned. When in doubt, please call ahead.

CAN WE SWIM IN THE POOL?

First a few disclaimers - There is not a life guard on duty, swimming is at your own risk. We are not responsible for injuries caused by guest negligence or violation of the posted rules and warnings. The surfaces around the pool are slippery when wet.

  • Public Events. Yes. Adult swim only after 6pm, and before the live music begins, from May through October. There are a few exceptions to this rule, for example, when we are hosting large events for the community. Please call ahead when uncertain.

  • Private Events. Yes. We host many pool parties and other private parties where the scope of services agreed upon in the Contract includes full use of the pool without age restrictions. Private events held on the same day as public live music events at the Pool Stage, revert to “adult swim only” after 6pm.

  • Everything else pool related. No flotation devices, balls, pool toys, etc. during public event adult swim, AND, regardless of the type of event, all those things you learned as a child to ensure your safety and the safety of the other guests, including, but not limited to, no running, no diving, no glass containers of any type, no pushing others into the pool, no access to the Owner’s pool equipment - and seriously, dude, we have public restrooms within a few feet of the pool entrance!

WHAT ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE SUNSETS, COOL VIBE, GREAT PEOPLE and nita?
